A three-year honours degree with a mandatory research internship in the final year.
The course covers classical and quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics and electronics, with laboratory work running alongside every theory paper. The final-year internship is arranged through the department's advisory board, and a number of projects have gone on to publication with undergraduates as first authors.
